What are some good cleaning products and brands to buy at the store, if someone could break it down into supplies for the bathroom, kitchen, etc… and different utensils
I have no clue what to use like is comet or scrubbing bubbles good etc?

This is what I use for cleaning houses, which is my part-time job.

Kitchen – Lysol kitchen cleaner for countertops, appliances. Softscrub or Comet for sink. Plain water with lemon for inside of microwave. Mr. Clean Magic Eraser for textured refrigerator handles and stubborn spots on stove tops (not ceramic stove tops though). Stainless steel cleaner for any stainless steel appliances. Be aware if you have granite or marble countertops, you should use plain water or a cleaner especially designed for those surfaces. Pinesol in hot water with Libman wonder mop for floor, OR Swiffer Wet Jet.

Bathroom – Lysol bathroom cleaner for sink/tub/shower. Lysol toilet bowl cleaner. Lysol wipes for outside of toilet (so I can throw them away). Windex for windows/mirrors. Same thing as kitchen for floors.

Livingroom/bedrooms/etc… Pledge for dusting. I used to use Swiffer Dusters, but they don’t seem to get quite everything. My favorite vacuum I’ve ever used is the Eureka Boss SmartVac.

I bought an 18-pack of cheap white washcloths at Wal-Mart and use those for cleaning rags. Old clothes (except for T-shirts) just don’t seem to work well as rags. Use an old toothbrush to get the areas behind faucets, etc…

Did you work with cleaning supplies or go near cat litter… did it affect the baby… how far along should you start staying away from them

You should stay away from cat litter starting the day you find out you’re expecting. There are toxins in what the cat leaves behind that can be harmful to an unborn baby.
As far as cleaning supplies, with my first son, I worked briefly as a cleaner for a real estate firm while expecting, and never had a problem. Now at home, I take care of our house full time as well as our two children, and am expecting our third. I clean the house just like I would normally, and just use nothing that has harsh chemicals in it. (Try a green alternative in cleaning supplies, they smell great and work just as well as the other ones, too!).
When you clean, if you are around cleaners with harsh fumes, just remember to be in a well-ventilated environment (open the windows!), so you do not make yourself sick.
And I never had any ill affects from cleaning my house daily or being the cleaning for the sort while that I was. The cat litter- I stay away from it, my husband does the litter box- I’m sure there have been ill affects on babies before, hence why they now strictly advise women to stay away from it.

Question by Alex: Anyone know a good web site or store that sells car cleaning supplies very cheap?

I detail a lot of cars and I feel I am paying to much for cleaning supplies. I usually buy from walmart or local auto part stores. I use a lot of wax compound car wash soap washing mits clay tire shine engine degreaser engine cleaner windex and I use pledge to clean the dash. I am not much into detailing cars, but here is an idea you might try.
google-car cleaning supplies in bulk and that should be able to get you at least one step ahead.
It’s hard to try to save money these days, good luck.
